RECEPTIONIST / OFFICE ASSISTANT

POSITION LOCATION:

1127 Corporate Drive East
Farmington, NY 14425 

DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Answering switchboard calls in an appropriate time and professional businesslike manner.
  • Greet all customers who enter the showroom and main lobby.
  • Mailing letters, postcards, maintenance agreements and other information to customers.
  • Communicate clearly with customers by telephone and emails.
  • Listen to the customer’s needs when answering switchboard calls and transfer to the appropriate person/department.
  • Assist with building permit applications.
  • Perform detailed clerical duties to support and maintain HPS customer’s Access database.
  • Prepare maintenance contracts.
  • Make confirmation calls to our customers who have service and maintenance appointments for the next business work day.
  • Miscellaneous administrative assistant functions.
  • Call current HPS customers and schedule generator maintenance visits in Microsoft Outlook for our technicians.
  • Schedule service calls for repairs as needed.
  • Strategically schedule maintenance appointments in geographic areas of HPS territory to minimize travel for maintenance and service technicians.
  • Coordinate technicians and prepare maintenance schedules in Microsoft Outlook.
  • Coordinate gas meter upgrades for new generator installations.
  • Follow up with all electrical certificates from installs.

EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred.
  • 1 to 3 years clerical experience (preferred)

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required
  • Professional phone skills when talking to both customers and HPS technicians
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Access database system and Outlook scheduling program is required.

WORK SCHEDULE / COMPENSATION:

  • $12.00 – $15.00/hr (40hrs. per week)

OUTSIDE SALES REPRESENTATIVE

POSITION LOCATION:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Utilize all available resources to reach out to prospects and attempt to turn those prospects into customers
  • Communicate effectively with customers throughout the entire install process as their main point of contact.
  • Stay on top of industry trends to identify potential opportunities for company growth.
  • Manage payment on each account to ensure full payment at the completion of each job.
  • Travel to, and perform residential sales calls in a company supplied vehicle.
  • Design and project manage each installation to its completion working directly with Operations team.

EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred.
  • A strong sales background is essential for this position

  • A minimum of One Year experience in a residential service related business is preferred

INSTALLATION TECHNICIAN

POSITION LOCATION:

GENERATOR SERVICE TECHNICIAN – LEVEL 1

POSITION LOCATION:

10 Adler Drive
East Syracuse, NY 13057 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performing scheduled maintenance visits and repairs on standby generators and related equipment
  • Helping senior technician with generator installation
  • Transporting generator equipment in a company vehicle
  • Threading and installing gas pipe
  • Basic electrical troubleshooting and repairs
  • Final inspection of the site (generator and yard must be clean and properly leveled)

EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience working on gas engines or electrical wiring a plus.
  • 1yr hands-on experience with generator installation, repair, and troubleshooting up to 45kw, single phase generators
  • Minimum of 1yr experience in a residential service related business (preferred)
